We develop advanced industrial software solutions for production, quality assurance and AI-driven data analysis. Our research and development activities include both EU-funded projects and self-financed initiatives, with a strong focus on real-world applications in manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-forschung-und-entwicklung-in-der-industrie-software-ist-ein-zentraler-bestandteil-der-innovationsstrategie-von-sciil-ag-und-uab-sciil-baltic-im-rahmen-nationaler-und-europaischer-forderprogramme-sowie-eigenfinanzierter-projekte-entwickeln-wir-digitale-losungen-fur-produktion-qualitatssicherung-und-ki-gestutzte-datenanalyse-kontinuierlich-weiter-auf-dieser-seite-stellen-wir-unsere-laufenden-und-abgeschlossenen-forschungs-und-entwicklungsprojekte-transparent-und-gemass-den-anforderungen-der-jeweiligen-forderinstitutionen-dar\">On this page, we provide an overview of our ongoing and completed R&amp;D projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sciil-baltic-uab-implements-the-reportio-ii-project-ai-based-solution-for-poultry-farms\">SCIIL BALTIC UAB implements the &#8220;REPORTIO II&#8221; project: <br><a href=\"https:\/\/sciil.com\/en\/do-you-speak-chicken\/\">AI-based solution for poultry farms<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sciil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/EN-Co-funded-by-the-EU_PANTONE-1-1024x215.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-sciil-baltic-uab-setzt-das-projekt-reportio-ii-um-im-rahmen-des-projekts-wird-das-intelligente-farmuberwachungssystem-reportio-dessen-funktionsweise-auf-iot-sensorik-selbstlernenden-systemen-sowie-analysealgorithmen-basiert-um-neue-fur-anwender-relevante-losungen-erweitert-uab-sciil-baltic-igyvendina-projekta-reportio-ii-kurio-metu-ismania-fermu-stebejimo-sistema-kurios-veikimas-paremtas-iot-sensoriais-besimokanciomis-sistemomis-bei-analizes-algoritmais-papildyti-naujais-vartotojams-aktualiais-sprendimais\">SCIIL BALTIC is implementing the \u201cREPORTIO II\u201d project to enhance its smart farm monitoring system with new, user-relevant solutions. The system is designed to detect dynamic and static defects in real time and provide digital support for quality processes directly on the store floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its innovation and research activities, SCIIL is developing a modular AI-based visual inspection solution that integrates industrial camera systems, edge processing, server infrastructure and a central data and application platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key focus of the project is the development of advanced deep learning models for detecting complex and variable defect patterns, such as wrinkles, material deformations, contamination and assembly deviations. The system is capable of analyzing both dynamic defect patterns (e.g. position-dependent defects) and static characteristics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main technological challenges include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>developing robust training methods for highly variable production conditions <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>real-time processing of large volumes of image data <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ensuring scalability across different camera systems and OEM environments <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>seamless integration into existing production systems, MES and quality management systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The project includes the development of prototypes, pilot installations in real production environments and continuous optimization of AI models and system performance.
