SCIIL Product Audit App For Mobile Inspection

Digital Product Audits For Maximum Quality Assurance

Product Audit Software With Serial Number Traceability

SCIIL Product Audit App with belonging application digitizes quality inspections during production, on site or during maintenance activities. Each product is recorded via its serial number so that all inspection results are fully traceable. From attribute inspections and checklists to visual inspections and measurement audits, all data flows into a central platform. Dashboards display quality KPIs such as FTT (First Time Through), OK/NOK ratio or the Top 5 bottlenecks in real time. This creates seamless traceability across the entire product lifecycle.

Automatically generated electronic inspection checklists are particularly useful for products with many variants and unique serial numbers, such as vehicles, seat assembly lines, elevators, vending machines, industrial equipment or watches. Inspections can be carried out flexibly: directly in the production line, as final end-of-line product audits, or at the customer site during installation and maintenance – even offline on mobile devices.

Product Audit App For Functional, Visual & Completeness Checks

The SCIIL Product Audit App consists of three main modules that can be used individually or in combination. In addition to digital product audit functionality, the REWORK module ensures controlled rework of NOK products. The Product Audit App for mobile inspections can be connected to existing production planning systems to automatically generate inspection checklists based on product variant and configuration.

Mobile product audits
Input on mobile devices – even offline

Product Checklist For Attribute Inspections with SCIIL PCL

Checklists are product- and variant-specific and can be distributed across multiple stations. Entries can be made on mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows) or on stationary touchscreen terminals.

  • Functional tests
  • Missing parts
  • Component inspection
  • Labeling
  • Configuration
  • Appearance

The evaluation provides top error lists, OK/NOK statistics and FTT values – quickly and transparently.

Visual inspections in product audits with SCIIL VI

With the Visual Inspection (VI) module, defects can be marked directly on product images. The system supports variant-specific product views and enables input via touchscreens on smartphones or tablets. At the same time, the solution documents affected areas and components in a structured way and displays the results clearly at rework stations. In addition, statistical analysis visualizes visual defects using heat maps, making the distribution of defects on the product image clearly visible.

Measuring Product Audits with SCIIL MA

Measurement Audit (MA) is a slimmed-down SPC solution designed for mobile data collection of product-specific measurements and complements traditional SPC analyses. Inspection plans contain defined target values and tolerances, allowing the system to immediately detect tolerance violations, display deviations and highlight NOK characteristics at rework stations.

All recorded measurement values are fully available for statistical evaluations and traditional SPC analyses. The software supports online process monitoring with pp and ppk indicators and provides an interface to QS-STAT. In addition, the system generates serial-number-based reports documenting all measurements. This allows deviations to be detected early and process stability to be monitored continuously.

REWORK, TRACE & DASHBOARDS – Full Transparency

All NOK results from the Product Audit App modules PCL, VI and MA are consolidated in the:

REWORK

Open inspections, NOK results and defects related to a serial number are clearly displayed in the system. Only after all characteristics have been reworked and confirmed does the serial number automatically switch to “OK” status. This ensures that no product leaves the production line while unresolved defects still exist.

TRACE

The traceability function displays inspection results both vertically and horizontally. The vertical view shows all inspection results for a single serial number, while the horizontal view groups all products with specific defects, faults or rework activities. Inspection results from all mobile and stationary inspection stations are immediately available, ensuring complete and seamless traceability.

DASHBOARDS

KPIs visualized in real time. This allows trends, improvements and bottlenecks to be identified immediately. Evidence for customers or suppliers can be provided at any time. The Product Audit App for mobile inspections provides a reliable foundation for quality, efficiency and transparency – with measurable ROI through reduced scrap, less rework and a clear data basis for decision-making.

With the SCIIL solution, we were able to standardize our test procedures, digitally map process steps and ensure complete traceability. Instead of many isolated solutions, we now have a common system that enables us to have more efficient processes, better data quality and faster reactions to deviations..”

    Joachim Maurer,
    Tenneco Director Quality Powertrain

TENNECO customer reference on MES, traceability, CAQ and production data collection

We finally wanted ONE solution for ALL production steps. The optimized processes in the final inspection bring about 15 percent efficiency gains.”

    Ulrich Albicker,
    Department Manager Quality Improvement

Kundenreferenz von IWC zu Endkontrolle und Traceability in der Uhrenindustrie

IWC relies on SCIIL Q-TRACE in final assembly to track watches consistently by serial number, document visual and functional tests and efficiently control rework. The result: greater transparency, measurable quality improvement and efficiency gains in final inspection, as well as seamless traceability.

    Leadec Management Central Europe

“The intelligent tracking solution is web-based and creates cross-process transparency regarding the use and whereabouts of individual packages.

    Gerd Brandl,
    Key Account Manager Technical Solutions

In the semiconductor industry, where sensitive precision components involve high material costs and production is subject to significant time pressure, controlling and tracing material flows is more important than ever. The smart SCOTT logistics solution, developed jointly by Leadec and SCIIL AG, provides the required transparency and control.

“The SCIIL eLPA system is easy to use and impresses with its functionality. What is particularly important for me as a plant manager is that I have online access and a complete overview of our audits at all times – whether I’m in the office or on the road.

    Jürgen Müller,
    Plant Manager Adient Saarlouis

Adient Saarlouis was the first plant in the Group to successfully pilot SCIIL eLPA. In the complex seat assembly process with numerous customer requirements, daily LPAs and high OEM pressure, the tool ensures a clear structure, simple implementation and maximum transparency – a must when quality has to be assured on a daily basis. Today, SCIIL eLPA is standard and runs in all Adient plants worldwide.

“If only we had introduced SCIIL eLPA earlier – today it almost runs itself with process audits and is really well received by the team.

    Daniel Zimmermann,
    Global Commodity Buyer

As a global automotive supplier with over 100 locations and the highest quality requirements, MAHLE needs a system that maps daily LPAs efficiently, transparently and uniformly worldwide. Manual planning and evaluation was error-prone and time-consuming – with SCIIL eLPA, a centralized system was introduced that automates planning, makes deviations immediately visible and structures the processes across all locations. This not only increases audit quality, but also ensures the necessary acceptance among users.

“With SCIIL CAQ & TRACE, we have created uniform standards worldwide – and can react much faster. This brings more quality, more transparency and fits in perfectly with our sustainability approach.

    Johann Trischbergerr,
    COO Olymp Bezner

Kundenreferenz von OLYMP zur MES-gestützten Produktionssteuerung in der Textilindustrie

OLYMP uses SCIIL CAQ & TRACE to control complex inspection processes in shirt production – from incoming goods inspection to end-of-line inspection. Special inspection methods and individually defined sampling logics are also used, which have been precisely adapted to the requirements of textile production. Bidirectional integration with the ERP system ensures consistent data flows. Data is recorded directly on the line – mobile, convenient and intuitive. A strong example of successful CAQ integration in the fashion industry.
