SCIIL SPA.CE R2: Process Audit Software Update

The SCIIL SPA.CE R2 release introduces new functions for eLPA and FlexAudit. The process audit software update improves audit planning, KPI transparency, issue management and usability across the digital audit process.

Manufacturing companies can plan audits more reliably, identify recurring findings earlier and manage corrective actions more systematically. The release also makes daily work easier for auditors, quality managers and administrators—particularly in organizations with multiple plants, production areas and user groups.

What is new in the SPA.CE R2 release?

SPA.CE R2 strengthens the SCIIL process audit solutions in five key areas:

  • Extended audit planning and scheduling
  • Clearer KPI structures and audit dashboards
  • Improved 4D and 8D problem-solving workflows
  • More intuitive operation for large user groups
  • Further development of the identity and authorization architecture

The new functions support both the execution of individual process audits and the systematic management of Layered Process Audit programs.

Clearer KPIs for greater audit transparency

SPA.CE R2 makes audit results and improvement activities easier to evaluate. New charts display recurring findings by week or month and show how many corrective actions have been completed.

Quality and production managers can therefore identify trends earlier, compare developments over time and initiate targeted countermeasures. The dashboards combine audit results, findings and action status in a practical overview.

This provides a clearer basis for evaluating whether implemented measures have delivered lasting improvements.

Extended planning for Layered Process Audits

Audit planning is a central part of SCIIL eLPA. With SPA.CE R2, Layered Process Audits can be planned across several years instead of being limited to a single annual planning period.

The scheduler automatically distributes stations that have not yet been audited until all relevant areas have been included. Administrators can also block individual days or employees—for example because of holidays, planned absences or other operational requirements.

A mobile schedule view provides auditors and managers with direct access to current planning information on the shop floor.

These functions make LPA planning more predictable and reduce the manual effort required to create and maintain audit schedules.

Structured 4D and 8D problem solving

SPA.CE R2 also extends issue and corrective action management. Improved D-level logic supports the structured processing of findings within 4D and 8D workflows.

Additional validation and comment fields make individual processing steps easier to document and review. Moreover, 5-Why analyses and Ishikawa diagrams can be linked more consistently to the identified causes.

As a result, the connection between an audit finding, its root cause and the corresponding corrective action remains transparent—from the initial deviation to the verification of the implemented solution.

Improved usability in daily audit management

The release includes several improvements designed to simplify everyday work with eLPA and FlexAudit.

The system helps prevent duplicate issue creation and unnecessary notifications. Navigation, confirmation workflows and the management of documents and images have also been improved.

In addition, the scheduler updates automatically when an audit plan changes. Extended filters make it easier to evaluate findings, open actions and audit results during daily operations.

These usability improvements are particularly valuable for organizations with many users, plants and audit areas. Clearer workflows reduce training requirements and help users complete their tasks more efficiently.

Further development of the system architecture

SPA.CE R2 also prepares the SCIIL software architecture for future identity and access requirements.

The release develops the existing identity architecture further and creates a foundation for modern authorization code flows and external login providers. User rights and access rules can be specified more clearly, including requirements for external user roles.

This architectural development supports the secure and scalable use of SCIIL applications in larger and more complex organizations.

New functions for eLPA and FlexAudit

SPA.CE R2 provides improvements for two complementary SCIIL audit solutions.

SCIIL eLPA for Layered Process Audits

SCIIL eLPA was developed specifically for the systematic planning and execution of Layered Process Audits. It supports different audit layers, auditor groups and audit frequencies as well as cross-plant LPA management.

The extended scheduling and KPI functions in SPA.CE R2 provide greater planning reliability and transparency across LPA programs.

SCIIL FlexAudit for configurable process audits

SCIIL FlexAudit enables manufacturing companies to manage different checklist-based audit types within one system. These can include 5S audits, Gemba walks, shop-floor audits and company-specific process inspections.

Audits can be planned centrally, conducted with the mobile app and evaluated using current dashboards. Findings, causes and corrective actions remain connected throughout the process.
